We can directly import an entire container of goods from abroad to your store or warehouse in the US.
We have an initial meeting (either in person if you are local or on the phone) to get an understanding of what you are looking for. You send us photos of specific items or styles you want and we take care of the rest. We take the time to personally source your items. We contact our international suppliers to figure out availability, lead time, and cost. We work with manufacturers to custom build furnishings. We suggest items within your style range and send you photos of items from abroad for your approval and feedback. We travel abroad to inspect and fill your container, and work with a Customs Broker to have it shipped.
We can source all kinds of furniture: antique, vintage, traditional, rustic, shabby chic, tribal, bone inlay, industrial, modern, and contemporary. Common items we import include furnishings of all kinds, columns, corbels, doors, mirrors, decorative accents, statuary, fountains, planters, lighting, marble sinks, copper and marble bathtubs, antique hardware, rugs, tabletop items and textiles.
We happily offer a 40% discount off normal retail prices for all items in your 20 or 40-foot container order. Shipping, customs, and handling fees are not included in this cost. A 50% deposit is required upfront for all sourcing projects. The goods are then loaded upon finalizing order and receiving balance payment.
To be cost effective, we import containers via ocean freight. The final shipment time varies greatly, depending on whether you are ordering ready made items or custom pieces that need to be built as well as whether the container is being packed in a port city or inland. Generally, it takes about 6 weeks to have items made, another week or so to pack the container, 4 - 6 weeks transport time, and then however long it takes for US Customs to clear the container. This last part is completely out of our hands, but in our experience, customs clearance can take anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks.
